Jane is a Canadian painter and glassworker, who specializes in painted images in acrylic exploring transparency, translucence and reflection in large-scale still life, figurative and landscape works.

Her paintings, “express the interaction between human endeavor and the natural world, and the constant friction between innate beauty and the constructed environment”.  Rather than strict representation, her work is expressionistic rendering using colour, form and contrast, delivered in a dynamic and considered manner.

Travel, along with the beauty of the Niagara peninsula, to which she has recently returned after a career as visual arts educator, inspire her subject choices.
