COAA MEMBERS’ GALLERY FEATURING:

Michele Doktor

Michele splits her time between Kitchener and Georgian Bay. Her love of nature is reflected in her representational acrylic landscapes on canvas. She enjoys experimenting with colour, texture and brush strokes.

Artist Statement
Living on Georgian Bay, surrounded by forest, I never see the same view twice. I feel a deep sense of connection to the beautiful Canadian Shield outcroppings, and the constantly shifting waters and sky. Whether kayaking the archipelago, hiking through forests, snowmobiling in winter or sitting on the dock, I will stop to photograph or sketch a scene that inspires me. I use the inspiration back in my studio to evoke the feeling of that moment to create my art.
